Hello, I have a customer that is a predicament. The automation company that they used for years went under water and left them with very little PLC program and wiring information. They have a plc system with alot of IO. Using Modicon Quantum CPUs. The p/n for the cpu is 140CPS11420. Can someone help with what software I well need to connect to this.
PLC Programming of Allen Bradley, Delta, Siemens, Omron Schneider using LIVE Examples. 26 hours on-demand video; 20 articles; 50 downloadable resources. Gets FREE Software's & circuits which are used in the training programs.
They did give me program on a USB that might be right thing but they don't know. I tried it with my SoMachine v.4.1 and that can't open the files that they gave me, but I don't know if these are the right files or not. Can someone please give me some advice? SoMachine is definitely no help to you. Likely to be ProWorx32 or possibly even modsoft based on the age of that CPU model.
What's the file extension? It's possible that they upgraded to Unity Pro firmware but no way to know without connecting to the CPU using proworx, unity or the OSLoader tool. I would contact Schneider and see if they have a tech who can help you. Someone with the right tools can point you in the right direction with only a few minutes work.
They may even offer his time for free if there's the potential for upgrade. Note that the Quantum range is now considered mature and a lot of CPUs are reaching obsolescence. This does appear to be some old software! I got a download setup file for the Concept v.2.6, but I didn't realize it has to be XP.
It cant run on my laptop. Might need to find an XP machine somewhere. Those familiar with Concept programs: I suppose it is pretty likely that like in many softwares nowadays the upload is passwordable?
That is another thing I fear that I get all setup, but then the program cannot be even accessed. I've never even attempted an upload. Earlier versions of Concept software didn't even support uploads, which made it very important to carefully manage the program backups.

The goal of the CrypTool project is to make users aware of how cryptography can help against threats and to explain the underlying concepts of cryptology. CrypTool 1 (CT1) is written in and designed for the operating system. A port of CT1 to with was started, but there is no progress anymore. In 2007, development began on two additional projects, both based on a pure-plugin architecture, to serve as successors to the original CrypTool program. Both successors regularly publish new stable versions: • CrypTool 2 (built with C#/.NET/WPF) (abbreviated CT2) uses the concept of to clarify cryptographic processes.
Currently, CT2 contains more than 150 crypto functions. • JCrypTool 1.0 (built with Java/Eclipse/RCP/SWT) (abbreviated JCT) runs on Windows, Mac OS, and Linux, and offers both a document-centric and a function-centric perspective. Currently, JCT contains more than 100 crypto functions. One of its focal points are modern digital signatures (like Merkle trees and SPHINCS).
