History My computer's graphics card broke, got a new one with a new power supply. The computer at time got very hot. And I fear that my Ethernet cable port was somehow damaged, because the port worked with the computer before it got the CPU and power supply. I know the cable works as well.
After all of the new components (CPU and Power Supply) I wasn't getting internet. When I trouble shoot the issue I get the message to 'Install a driver for you network adapter'? I have looked online many times to find just that driver.
I have seen that the driver depends on your motherboard, so I have tried installing a driver based upon that but I think I did not do it correctly. If it helps my computer's motherboard is Z1-7641 by MSI if I am correct. I know very little though and will do my best to solve this problem. 'Z1-7641' appears nowhere at MSI. And don't bother with any driver updater sites.
Just get it direct from MSI, once you get the right model number. History My computer's graphics card broke, got a new one with a new power supply. The computer at time got very hot.

Where do I find the model # on the motherboard? Well, that is not a good sign. It may be that the ethernet port is indeed damaged. I know of no way to test the port other than to plug in a cable, connect to a router and look for the blinking light. I don't know why network adapters doesn't show up in your device manager. For example, on my computer, Floppy drive controllers shows up in device manager, even though I don't have a floppy drive.
It shouldn't just disappear. Maybe someone else has an idea on how to test the ethernet port. Dlya zapuska igri snachala nuzhno zapustitj steam mw3. If I were to get a USB network adapter, basically a converter, would I have issues using that?
